John is the Managing Director of Kingfisher Industrial, which supports the industry in the fight against the effects of wear and premature failure caused by the handling of bulk solid materials. Having been established since 1981, Kingfisher offers a one-stop solution associated to the design, manufacture, protection and installation of process plant and equipment used to convey, store or process solids in either a mechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic state of conveyance.
Having travelled and worked throughout the world in primary manufacturing and process industries, John has encountered the full plethora of industrial experience from the manufacture and installation of equipment and project engineering through to senior operational and sales responsibilities.

Before taking on the role of Secretary of the MHEA from Dr Harold Wright in 2008 Peter had been involved in the materials handling Industry working for steep incline conveyor belt manufacturers Specialised Belting Supplies Ltd which he co-founded in 1984. During his time at SBS the company grew to be a world leader in steep incline conveying, Peter travelled the world marketing the company’s products and troubleshooting clients issues in steep incline conveying.
Peter has been involved with MHEA since the late 1970’s and was President of MHEA in 2002, a difficult time for the association and was instrumental in appointing Harold Wright as Secretary, working with Harold and Vice President Alan Jackson in putting MHEA back on track. The association today is thriving and Peter is working closely with CJAM in ensuring the future for MHEA
Name : Roy Ball
Job Title : Executive Committee Member
Roy Ball is Managing Director of Rulmeca UK Ltd with its factory in Corby, Northants. It is a subsidiary of the Rulmeca Group of companies world-wide who are recognised as the world’s largest manufacturer of Bulk Handling rollers and Motorized Pulleys.
Roy started his career in 1975 and served initially as a Technical Apprentice at Universal Conveyor where he progressed through all departments of the business to UK Component Sales Manager.
In 1987 he then moved to Interroll Ltd as Bulk Handling Country Manager for a further 18 years. When Interroll Bulk Handling Ltd was purchased by the Rulmeca Group in 2005, Roy then became Managing Director of all operations in the UK.
Along with Rulmeca, Roy has always been involved with the manufacture and sales of conveyor components; primarily in the field of Conveyor Rollers and Motorized Pulleys and currently lives in Loughborough with his wife Teresa.
Name : Jeff Buxton

Jeff started his working career in 1966, as an apprentice Electrician, becoming a qualified electrical engineer. Jeff has since worked for many leading material handling specialist companies, before joining Don Valley Engineering in 2013 as Group Sales Manager for the Don Valley Group of companies.
Jeff has over 35 years’ experience, working within the Material Handling of bulk solids. With experience gained from his early years as a commissioning engineer for a pneumatic conveying equipment provider, before moving into a commercial environment and sales. The practical experience gained in his early years, proved invaluable when working with end users and leading company producers worldwide. Leading Jeff to be successful when working with many leading producers in industries such as Food Pharma, Chemical, Power, Iron & Steel, Cement, Gypsum, Quarrying, Mineral, Aggregate to Bio fuel and Alternative fuels. Jeff has an in depth knowledge of material handling and handling of bulk solids, a knowledge of types of equipment used in specific industries, a good understanding of process technology and industry process for the use of a best practice approach. Which many of his customers take advantage of.

Simon Nadin is General Manager at Siemens Mechanical Drives, part of Siemens Industry.
Siemens Mechanical Drives supplies gear units, geared motors and drive train systems all over the world, to industries from power to mining, from a purpose-built site in Leeds.
Simon was sponsored by Rolls Royce at university and subsequently worked for Rolls Royce in Sheffield as a Quality Engineer. He joined Siemens in 1998, and built up a strong track record of achievement in the UK and in Germany, within the fields of production and process management. He also played a major role in helping the Siemens drives facility at Congleton become a world leading and award-winning site. One of his first tasks at Mechanical Drives in 2010 was to successfully relocate the old Bradford factory to improved facilities in Leeds, a major undertaking.
Locally, Simon sits on the Leeds City Region’s Employment and Skills Board, and visits schools in Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield and York to raise the profile of engineering regionally. He lives near York.

Michael Metson is General Manager at Joy Global within the European, Middle Eastern and North African region. He sits on the regional Eurasia board and has overall accountability for Sales and Service functions within Joy Surface, Underground and Crush & Convey product groups.
Michael began his career within mining and materials processing having joined Terex Corporation’s Materials Processing Division in 2004 as part of their 3 year Graduate All-Round Management Scheme. He subsequently moved into a Business Development capacity for developing markets and was tasked with management of the distributor network across South East Asia, Middle East and Africa. He has also worked for Unatrac/Caterpillar Global Mining with responsibility for export sales of mining product to Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda.
Michael has a degree in Industrial Design and Technology from Loughborough University, an MBA from the Open University, is a Fellow of the IoQ and a Professional Graduate Member of the IoM3.

Rob Leighton is Sales Manager of DMN UK Ltd with its offices based in Calne, Wiltshire. DMN is the UK and Ireland sales office for DMN-WESTINGHOUSE rotary valves, diverter valves and other components for the bulk solids handling.
Rob started his career in bulk materials handling in 2004, working as a proposals engineer at Guttridge where he was promoted to Area Sales Manager, in 2011 Rob left Guttridge and has since worked for other specialist suppliers to the bulk materials handling industry.
Rob lives in Stamford, Lincolnshire with his wife & three children.

James is Managing Director of ConSpare Holdings Ltd and runs its two trading divisions, ConSpare Ltd and ProSpare Ltd. He joined the MHEA Executive Committee in 2015
James started his career in 1984 at concrete industry specialist ConSpare Ltd, the UK’s leading supplier of concrete production equipment and spare parts. ConSpare is one of the best known names in the industry and has been involved in many of the most prestigious construction projects in the UK, including Hinkley Point, Crossrail and the Channel Tunnel.
ProSpare was launched in 2007 to bring the unique ConSpare range of products and expertise to a wider audience in sectors such as quarrying, mineral processing, cement, chemical and power generation.
